Information you enter
The site has no comments, contact form, or newsletter. A user who adds a complex to the Korean apartment information map must sign in with ChatGPT so the site can confirm that the request comes from an authenticated user. The apartment database does not store that user’s email address or name.
A submission stores only the official complex name, complex-level road address, province, a centre-point coordinate, and selected amenity tags. Unit numbers, resident details, contact information, photos, free-text allegations, and access or security information are not accepted. Every submission is reviewed before it appears publicly.
Apartment map submissions and correction requests
To limit repeated submissions and correction requests, the site does not store the login email itself. It stores only a one-way daily identifier derived from the email and Korean calendar date, together with that day’s request counts. Values from earlier dates are removed on the next submission or correction request and are not used to link activity across dates. A first-party cookie named degul_apartment_reports stores short codes for complexes this browser has reported for up to one year to reduce duplicate correction requests.
A correction request stores an aggregate reason and count only: incorrect location, incorrect details, privacy or security concern, or duplicate. It does not store the reporter’s name, email, IP address, or free-text report. The map does not request or retain a visitor’s live location.
When the map loads, the browser requests map tiles directly from the OpenStreetMap Foundation tile service. It may process an IP address, browser or device data, the referring page, request time, and map request information. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
Today and all-time visit counters
The small today and all-time counters in the footer count the same browser once per day in Korea Standard Time. A first-party cookie named degul_visit_day stores only that day’s date and expires at the next Korean midnight.
The public display shows the current Korean day’s aggregate beside the all-time total. Daily aggregates are kept for up to 180 days, while the all-time total continues. Neither record stores a name, account, IP address, or browser type. Both numbers are approximate browser visits, not an exact count of unique people.
Article hearts
Each article stores only its aggregate heart total. A heart is not stored with a name, account, IP address, or visitor identifier. A Korean article and its linked English edition share one total.
To reduce repeat hearts for the same article, a first-party cookie named degul_liked_articles keeps only short codes for recently liked articles for up to one year. It does not contain article titles or a browsing history and disappears if you clear browser cookies. The total is a lightweight reaction count, not an exact number of unique people.
Private traffic statistics
To understand which pages and discovery routes are useful, the site stores daily aggregates for the public page path, a limited source category such as a known search or social platform, a two-letter country code, a broad device category, and an estimated human-or-automation category. It does not store search terms, a full referring URL, query strings, or an exact visit time.
No IP address, IP hash, full user-agent string, visitor identifier, or person-level browsing trail is retained. The date in the existing degul_visit_day cookie helps count the same browser approximately once per Korean day, but it does not identify a unique person. Bot classification is also an estimate based on platform and browser signals.
The site keeps aggregate rows for no longer than 180 days and does not create a raw visitor list. The report requires ChatGPT sign-in and a separate server-side administrator allowlist, so it is visible only to the site owner.
Language preference
A visitor using a non-Korean browser may see a prompt for the English edition. Country and browser-language headers are checked to decide whether to show that prompt. The original browser language value is not stored; a country may be included only as a two-letter category in the private aggregate report described above.
When you choose Korean or English, a first-party cookie named degul_language stores only that choice for up to one year. You can change it at any time with the language link.
Google advertising and cookies
Google AdSense may use cookies and process browser, device, approximate location, impression, and click information to provide and measure advertising. Where required, Google’s consent message controls ad-personalisation choices.
You can review your choices in Google Ads Settings and read how Google uses information from partner sites.
Advertising on Korean pages
Some Korean-language article pages may also display Kakao AdFit. Its advertising and measurement are handled under Kakao’s policies. The English articles do not currently include a Kakao AdFit slot.
External links
Source links open third-party websites, whose own privacy notices apply. The initial English articles do not contain paid product links. If an English article later includes one, the commercial relationship will be disclosed beside the link.
